Supplication for Somebody Who Gives One Food or Drink

O Allah, feed the one who has fed me and give to drink the one who has given me to drink.

ْاللَّهُمَّ أَطْعِمْ مَنْ أَطْعَمَنِيْ وَاسْقِ مَنْ سَقَانِي.

Phonetic transliteration

Allāhumma aṭʿim man aṭʿamanī, wa-sqi man saqānī.

English translation

“O Allah, feed the one who has fed me and give to drink the one who has given me to drink.”

Virtue & benefit: Miqdād (raḍiy Allāhu ‘anhu) narrated in a long hadīth that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ lifted his head to the heavens and said [the above]. (Muslim 2055)

اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ الَّذِيْ كَفَانَا وَأَرْوَانَا ، غَيْرَ مَكْفِىٍّ وَلَا مَكْفُوْرٍ.

Praise be to Allah Who has sufficed us and quenched our thirst unsufficed and unrejected.

After Eating #4

اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ الَّذِيْ أَطْعَمَنَا وَسَقَانَا وَجَعَلَنَا مُسْلِمِيْنَ.

All praise is for Allah, who has fed us and given us drink and made us Muslims.

After Eating #6

اَللّٰهُمَّ أَطْعَمْتَ وَأَسْقَيْتَ ، وَهَدَيْتَ وَأَحْيَيْتَ ، فَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ عَلَىٰ مَا أَعْطَيْتَ.

O Allah, You have fed and given to drink, You have guided us and revived us. So, to You be all praise for what You have granted.
