بَارَكَ اللَّهُ لَكَ

Phonetic transliteration

Bāraka-llahu lak.

English translation

“May Allah bless you.”

Virtue & benefit: Anas bin Mālik (raḍiy Allāhu ‘anhu) narrated that the Prophet ﷺ traces of yellow perfume on ʿAbdur Rahmān bin ʿAwf, and he asked him “What is this?” He said: “O Messenger of Allah, I married a woman for the weight of a stone of gold. He said [the above] and then said: “Give a feast even if it is only with one sheep.” (Ibn Mājah 1907)

رَبِّ لَا تَذَرْنِيْ فَرْدًا وَّأَنْتَ خَيْرُ الْوٰرِثِيْنَ.

My Lord, do not leave me childless, though You are the best of inheritors. (21:89)
